To foster a sense of connection and togetherness among employees and their families during the pandemic. To boost morale, strengthen the bond between the company and its employees, and provide a fun, memorable experience despite the physical separation caused by the pandemic.

SOLUTION
Bringing the carnival to life : Challenge during pandemic
In 2021, as the pandemic kept families apart, we were tasked with turning DBS Bank’s Family Day into an unforgettable virtual experience highlighting the importance of family and connection even in challenging times. This event was a testament to DBS’s care for its employees, providing a fun and engaging experience that brought families together.
We embraced the challenge, committed to designing a virtual carnival that not only brought families together but also captured the magic of in-person gatherings. The event took place on a customised virtual platform which we had designed to accommodate several purposes, from live streaming, gamification, breakout room, DIY Workshop, and even performances.
To ensure the success of these activities, we meticulously prepared and delivered kits to all participants ahead of time, allowing them to fully engage from their homes. Our support studio, equipped with advanced AVL (audio, visual, and lighting) systems, facilitated the recording of pre-recorded videos and even seamless live streaming, enabling hosts and instructors to guide families through each activity in real-time . This careful planning and execution ensured that the virtual event retained the hands-on, creative spirit of an in-person carnival, despite the challenges of the pandemic.
At the heart of this virtual carnival was our creative vision. We conceptualised a vibrant and cohesive theme that permeated every aspect of the event, from the virtual platform’s interface to the custom-designed event materials. The goal was to ensure that even in a virtual setting, the experience felt as engaging and immersive as a physical carnival.

Pre-event and Post-event Support
Our journey didn’t start or end with the event itself—we were fully aware that the pre-event and post-event support are just as important. We crafted a compelling event invitation designed to capture participants' attention and drive engagement. To streamline the process, we also developed a registration website for efficient data collection. In the lead-up to the event, we kept the momentum going with strategically timed reminder emails that not only informed but also energised and excited the participants.
We didn’t stop there. To truly measure the success of the event and also how engaged participants were, we created a feedback form for participants to fill for the post-event. The post-event feedback form served as a valuable tool not only for us but also for DBS Bank. By collecting participants' insights and opinions, we gained a deeper understanding of what resonated well and areas for improvement.
